Pointless absurdity lost in obscurity...........................

As I begin writing this particular post, I feel low. It isn't because I listen to Pink Floyd or something or because the aliens always tend to appear over the American heads. It is not even because the mob in India take out their frustration over the public transportation system or because the average Indian politician tries to display his affection for the nation by wearing white all the time. The thoughts in my head are jumbled up, totally out of control and morally inappropriate. So is this the point of my article ? Well, not really. The point is to not to make a point. Sometimes amidst all the points we try to make and bring out some sense out of the concepts in our head, it becomes essential that the point we are trying to make is that there is no point. It is only then that we realise that we are totally zonked and can actually feel happy about it.
Is your mind finding this pointlessness too absurd or abstract to read ? Is this article driving you crazy ? Well good. This is exactly the state of mind that is essential to read further.

Did we dream...or did I ?
(Completely my view.... Please feel free to disagree and comment)

The mind is a pocket theatre. Peep in and you will find the most unimaginable of things.
Everyday the mind absorbs humungous amounts of data in various formats varying from visual, speech and from the various sensory organs. Now why do you think the mind stores these or what does it actually do with these pieces of information. What do you think is the priority for storage. Let me try to explain.
Leaving out the emotional points of view from the picture, the mind segregates the data into various categories. Some to stay in the memory for a temporary duration, some for ever, some extremely essential data that would be recalled frequently. But there are certain pieces of information that the mind retains in its sub-conscious state, somewhere unaware to the conscious mind for a different purpose.
The dream finally is the fishtank for these ideas to come out. Know that, the mind is always concerned about the survival of its bearer first and then the others.(Well, that is exactly why you do not die in your dreams, cause the mind does not like to potray its own destruction). So the mind tries to convert these 'special' pieces of non-sense into possible solutions for problems that the person was pondering upon. Even though these solutions are mostly infeasible due to the constraints borne by the physical laws of the conscious mind, they are infact solutions. The solutions seem absurd since the the mind is striving hard to combine the vagaries of various minute ideas and finally come up with something on a larger scale. That is exactly why the mind does not allow any dream to be stored in the memory of the conscious for more than the duration of the dream itself so that any idea if found "sensible" by the conscious mind could be utilised to solve the problem.

So the next time you have a weird dream, don't wait for another Sigmund Freud to help you out in interpreting that.(No offences intended to any followers of the great man, cause even I am a fan of his). Rather try figuring out what your mind was trying to tell you and why.
